Orcula and Amplitude have worked with HRMC and ODP on several projects over the past few years, including on-site badging and more recently providing virtual events due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We thoroughly enjoy working with the dynamic team at HMRC.
As part of our process we like to work as closely as we can with our client and become one big team to help the process run as smoothly as possible. In this case study we will be focusing on just two virtual events we last engaged with:ODP Reach and ODP Awards.
ODP Reach provided development opportunities for everyone but aimed to specifically explore how ODP can encourage their Black Asian and Minority Ethnic colleagues to overcome barriers.
ODP Reach was ran on our dedicated virtual platform, which was heavily customised and branded for the event, this included:
The ODP Reach event was a huge success, being virtual it attracted a much larger audience than previously and feedback from viewers was incredibly positive.
ODP Awards was ran fully virtually as an event to recognise and celebrating some of the remarkable work ODP does, handing out 9 awards.
As part of ODP Awards we ran two dedicated websites in the lead up to the live event.
Firstly, we ran a custom developed nomination site which was launched a few months prior to the event registration and main website.
This site was dedicated to accepting nominations and was built for users to login, add their nomination and make it easy for the judging panel and sorters to access the data.
The site was made with accessibility in mind and had easy to use features such as auto-saving and allowing users to return to nominations they part-started.
Over 800 nominations were cast using the website.
The main ODP Awards website and event was ran on our dedicated virtual platform, which was heavily customised and branded for the event, this included:
The awards had 9 categories that had been shortlisted into 3 winners for each (Bronze, Silver and Gold awards)
All the nominees for each award were put into 'Green-Rooms' so we could quickly move the winner for each award on-screen with the presenter to virtually 'accept their award.
The process worked flawlessly and provided some great real-time reactions and shocked faces!
The ODP Festival ran for 4 weeks in September and October. - Spanning over 25 individual event sessions and covering a wide range of inspiring content to promote and celebrate the Operational Delivery Profession.
With 5,000 delegates registered across 37 government departments, 30 speakers, and 1,295 minutes of content the ODP Fest was a huge success.
The main website and event was ran on our dedicated virtual platform, which was heavily customised and branded for the event, this included:
